Fairview Place Neighbors Doing Stuff: Trees Matter Workshop & Planting Day

Expanding shade canopy in Phoenix is essential for combating urban heat, cooling our sidewalks, and reducing energy use across the Valley. To build a greener neighborhood, Fairview Place and Del Norte recently teamed up with Trees Matter to host an informative educational workshop on native and drought-tolerant desert trees.

Thanks to these efforts, we are thrilled to announce that 40 new trees have been planted right here in Fairview Place on October 10, 2026!

This exciting project directly supports our neighborhood's overarching climate and sustainability pillar by actively lowering ambient ground temperatures and expanding our urban forest canopy.

Projects like this demonstrate how small, local actions create long-lasting environmental benefits for all our residents. If you would like to see more impactful sustainability initiatives in our community, please consider contributing to our annual donation drive open now through November 30 - see the next page for details!
